Aspris Coleg South Wales are recruiting for a temporary Administrator (term-time) to cover maternity leave, to join a busy and professional administration team. We are looking for an enthusiastic multitasker, who is highly skilled and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel & Word. The successful candidate will be able to prioritise competing deadlines in a professional manner.

Aspris College South Wales is an independent, specialist co-educational college for young adults aged 16 to 25 with Autistic spectrum conditions and associated conditions based at Cwmbran. The college was set up in partnership with Coleg Gwent, the largest further education college in Wales, to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our young people.

Aspris College South Wales is looking to employ a Health and Safety/Data Administrator (Maternity Cover) to join our team.

As a health and safety administrator you will use your knowledge to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace. The main purpose of this role is to carry out risk assessments and update all paperwork. You will be required to carry out regular college inspections and check that policies and procedures are being properly implemented. You will be required to keep detailed records for inspections and ensure health and safety checks are maintained.

About The Role

As Data Administrator you will work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure that college reporting systems and data are effective, up to date and relevant. You will work strategically with the College Principal to collate and use college performance data to improve standards. To be successful in this role you will need to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and be experienced in processing data quickly and accurately and have a methodical and organised approach to work. You should also have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will be expected to complete any other education admin as required.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual looking to begin or develop a career in this environment. Good IT skills are essential, but no previous experience in a school/college setting is required as full training will be provided. This is a fast-paced and demanding role, and a high level of literacy and numeracy is essential. You will have excellent communication skills, a flexible approach, and be able to remain calm under pressure.
