Role Description
This full-time remote Health and Social Care Tutor role is responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to apprenticeship learners in health and social care settings. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Planning and delivering engaging online sessions
- Supporting learners to achieve their qualifications
- Assessing their competence against relevant standards
- Providing regular feedback
- Tracking progress
- Maintaining accurate records using digital systems

The role also involves:
- Collaborating with employers
- Promoting best practice in health and social care
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and awarding body requirements
The successful candidate will foster an inclusive learning environment and encourage learner engagement, retention, and achievement.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex health and social care concepts clearly to diverse learners.
- Customer Service skills to support learners and employer partners professionally and responsively.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and practices relevant to health and social care settings.
- Understanding of Medicine and Health Promotion topics appropriate to health and social care training.
- Experience in health and social care practice or education, ideally with a background in care provision, nursing, or related fields.
- Recognized teaching, training, or assessing qualification (e.g., PTLLS/CTLLS, AET, DET, or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship standards and competency-based assessment in health and social care.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage caseloads, and use online learning platforms and digital tools effectively.
