Summary
This role involves providing personalized health, wellbeing, and employability support to residents engaged in the WorkWell programme within Lewisham Works. The position is crucial in empowering individuals with physical or mental health conditions to move closer to employment, return to work, or maintain their current employment status. This is achieved through tailored coaching, action planning, and facilitating access to appropriate support services. The role is a 6-month contract with a local authority, offering a rate of £29.85 per hour under an umbrella arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one personalized coaching and support to participants of the WorkWell programme.
- Conduct appointments in person, online, and over the phone.
- Assess participants' employability, health, and wellbeing needs using recognized tools like EQ5D-L.
- Develop customized action plans to support participants' employment and wellbeing objectives.
- Provide advice and guidance on health and wellbeing matters.
- Offer employability support, including CV preparation, job search strategies, interview techniques, and career planning.
- Assist participants in identifying reasonable workplace adjustments to accommodate health conditions.

Requirements
- Experience in providing employment, careers, welfare, wellbeing, or health-related advice and guidance.
- Proven track record of supporting individuals with barriers to employment, including those with physical or mental health conditions.
- Experience in managing a caseload and delivering outcome-focused support.
- Proficiency in completing assessments, creating action plans, and maintaining detailed client records.
- Background in employability, health, wellbeing, public sector, community, or voluntary sector services.
- Relevant qualification in Employability, Careers Guidance, Health & Wellbeing, Social Care, Advice & Guidance, Counselling, Community Development, or a related field; or significant equivalent experience in employment support, health coaching, wellbeing services, or related sectors.

Additional Information
- Working hours are 37 hours per week.
- The position is based at 1 Catford Road, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, with a work pattern of 3 days in the borough/office, including the Leemore Centre and community sites such as GP practices.
- Applicants with a background in health and wellbeing coaching are highly desirable, more so than those with an employability background.
- There are three positions available, and part-time applicants will be considered.
- A DBS check is required.
- The role operates on a bi-weekly payment schedule.
