Job Description
Address: Allington Health Clinic, Ipswich, Suffolk IP4 4ER, on-site working
Salary: £26,016 per annum (pro rata for part time)
Hours: 37 hours per week, flexible working options available

About the Role

As a Health Business Centre Advisor within our Children’s Community Health Services (CCHS) team, you'll play a key role in supporting children, young people and families across Suffolk by providing high-quality administrative and customer-focused support.
Working as part of a countywide service, you'll help ensure families and professionals can access the right support at the right time, contributing to improved outcomes for children and young people across our communities.
Your Role And Responsibilities
As a Health Business Centre Advisor for our School Nursing and Corporate and Digital Notifications Teams, you’ll be part of a friendly, purpose‑driven team that provides a seamless first point of contact for 0-19 years administration that enables clinicians to deliver the Healthy Child Programme. We’ll support you with flexible working options, induction and ongoing development so you can grow your career while improving outcomes for families.
You'll respond to enquiries, coordinate information, maintain accurate records and support service delivery across Health Visiting and School Nursing services. Your work for either team could include the following:
- Provide a professional and customer-focused first point of contact via telephone, email and other communications.
- Maintain accurate records and data to support service reporting and performance targets.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations and other administration support materials.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of administrative systems and processes.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and teams within the Health Business Centre and wider Service.
Corporate and Digital Notification Team specifically
Support the administration of Health Visiting, School Nursing and Children's Community Health services through the processing of all digitally received documentation and delivery of functions that enable staff to deliver for our service users e.g. annual equipment checks, ordering of PPE etc
School Nursing team specifically
Register and process new children and referrals on clinical systems, including SystmOne, ensuring timely and accurate data entry to meet service KPIs. Support School Nursing activities, including processing referrals, coordinating the National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP), managing updates relating to children's medical conditions within schools, and liaising with schools and clinicians.

Requirements
We're looking for a motivated and organised individual with excellent customer service and administrative skills who is passionate about supporting children and families.
We hope you'll bring:
- a level 2 qualification in Business Administration, Customer Services or equivalent experience
- experience of office administration and customer service delivery with a flexible and positive approach to work
- excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy with strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- the ability to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy team
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- experience handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately and an understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures
- a commitment to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.

The Team
Children and Community Health Services support children, young people and families across Suffolk through prevention and early intervention services. The team plays a vital role in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and ensuring families receive the support they need as early as possible.
You'll join a collaborative and supportive team committed to improving health, wellbeing and resilience for children, young people and their families across the county.
We operate 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday in shift patterns.
