This is an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Support Worker to come and join our expanding team at Mill Lodge.
Mill Lodge is a 14 bedded Specialist Unit caring for patients diagnosed with Huntington's disease. Huntington's Disease is a rare, inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown (degeneration) of nerve cells in the brain. Huntington's disease has a wide impact on a person's functional abilities and usually results in movement, thinking (cognitive) and psychiatric disorders.
The role of the HCSW will be to work as part of the nursing team and support people with both their physical health and their mental health needs whilst working collaboratively with other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a healthcare setting, excellent communication skills and passionate about providing great care to patients.

Important information about these roles
Please note that the Healthcare Assistants work a rota system of Long Days (12 hr shifts) Day and Night covering a 7-day working week.
We can only offer a Full time post currently of 37.5 hours over a working week.
These are also permanent roles not bank roles and candidates will require their own right to work in the UK as we are unable to offer sponsorship.
