We currently have an opportunity for Part time experienced HCA. We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic and motivated to join our Minor Injury Team based at Ely MIU but you will be required to work at Doddington and Wisbech MIU when needed.
The three Units (Ely, Doddington & Wisbech) provide assessment and treatment for patients with minor injuries and illness to prevent them attending A&E.

The Role
The ideal candidate will have experience working as a HCA within a MIU, A&E or urgent care setting. An ability to undertake further skills training is essential. The MIU is a fast paced and busy environment so ability to work on their own, within a team and work under pressure is essential. No day is the same, so flexibility and ability to think under pressure is vital in this role.

This post also has administrative requirements, using System one and booking in patients at times and covering admin lunch while on shift.
You will support the practitioners in assessing and treating MIU patients.
The HCA would be required to undertake:
- Wound Care
- Apply splints
- Observations / ECG/ Visual acuity
- Soft Cast/ Plastering
- Stock take and ordering
- Restock unit / cleaning
- Covering admin / Booking MIU patients into the unit
MIU are open 7 days a week. Shifts 08:00-18:30hrs.
