Health Care Assistant (HCA)

Location: Walsall

Job Type: Part time

Pay Rate: GBP 12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in Walsall. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support individuals with mobility and daily living activities.
  • Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration where required.
  • Observe and report any changes in health or wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate care records and documentation.
  • Promote independence, dignity, and choice.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous care experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A caring, compassionate, and professional approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and reliability to work shifts.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Desirable Requirements

  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training preferred but not essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, learning disabilities, or mental health conditions.
