We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our In-Patient Unit team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families, helping to deliver high-quality palliative and end of life care in a warm, supportive and person-centred environment. Working alongside our experienced nursing team, you will play an important role in ensuring patients receive care with dignity, respect and kindness at all times.
Your Role
As a Health Care Assistant, You Will
- Support patients with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration needs.
- Assist registered nurses in delivering individualised patient care.
- Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions.
- Provide emotional support to patients, families and carers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Help create a clean, safe and welcoming care environment.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Uphold the Hospice's values and commitment to outstanding patient care.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, Care Certificate or equivalent.
- Experience working within a healthcare or care setting.
- Passionate about delivering high-quality care.
- Caring, sensitive and empathetic in their approach.
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues.
- Comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Reliable, flexible and motivated.
- Committed to ongoing learning and development.
