An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 36 for a Health Care Assistant to join the renal dialysis nursing team at Arrowe Park Hospital.
We are a busy unit providing outpatient and inpatient haemodialysis for around 90 patients, over 3 shifts, 6 days a week.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals who play an integral role at all stages of a patient’s care. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be a valuable part of the nursing team. You will find yourself assisting patients with hygiene and comfort needs, taking blood pressure and pulse rates, communicating with colleagues and patients and record keeping.
The applicants for these posts do not require any previous experience but will need to demonstrate significant commitment to developing themselves to support the nursing team in caring for patients on haemodialysis. This means learning to prepare dialysis machines and the dialysis unit for patient treatments as well as other care related duties that supports patient comfort during dialysis.
