Opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant

About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our dedicated team on the Macmillan Windmill Unit at Blackpool Teaching Hospital.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to:
- Assist outpatients clinics related to the Haematology and Oncology areas
- Work alongside the consultants, nurses specialists, and advance nurse practitioners to ensure patient needs are met
- Assist with clinical procedures such as phlebotomy and bone marrow biopsies
Working Hours
The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday from 08.00 until 20.00, depending on the shift pattern necessary for the week, with no weekends or bank holidays. In this position, we may offer part-time hours on a permanent basis.

Requirements
We are looking for a Band 3 Health Care Assistant who has an interest in caring for people with cancer and is able to support the outpatients clinics. You must be able to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and care towards both patients and their families. The candidate will need to show good communication skills and must have a positive attitude.
