Job Overview

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Health Care Support Worker to join our friendly Podiatry Service. You will play an important role in supporting the podiatry team to provide safe, effective, and person-centred care to our patients.

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and able to communicate well with patients and colleagues. You will need to work well as part of a team, demonstrate a positive attitude, and be willing to develop your skills to support the podiatry service effectively. Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to support clinical procedures are essential.

Experience within a healthcare environment would be advantageous, but we are equally interested in candidates who demonstrate the right values, commitment to patient care, and willingness to learn. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a supportive community podiatry service.

Main duties of the job

  • To support the team in providing a highly specialised podiatry service in a clinic setting to adults with a range of foot care needs, providing a high standard of clinical care in community settings.
  • To assist the registered staff in ensuring appropriate pathways of care for patients who require those services.
  • To contribute to the assessment and treatment of individual patients on the caseload and communicate any changes in care needs to the registered staff.
  • Provide clerical and clinical assistance to Podiatrists in the treatment of a wide range of Podiatric conditions.
  • To contribute to the smooth running of the clinic, ordering stock ensuring stock levels are maintained, and the clinic is set up appropriately.
  • Carry out observations, record accurately, and report abnormal results to senior colleagues.

Working for our organisation

Provide is a Community Interest Company (social enterprise). We deliver a broad range of health and social care services in the community, and are committed to making sure that they are safe, responsive, and of high quality. We work from a variety of community settings, such as community hospitals, community clinics, schools, nursing homes, and primary care settings, as well as within people’s homes to provide more than 40 services to children, families, and adults across Essex, Dorset, East Anglia, and the North of England.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
