NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

Shift Pattern

The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday 0800-1730 x2, 0800-1800. However this at any time may become 24/7 at needs of service.

Visa Sponsorship

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) may be able to provide visa sponsorship for certain roles, subject to the post meeting the relevant eligibility criteria. Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will be determined on a case-by-case basis following interview and during the pre-employment verification process. About the Role

An exciting opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join the Theatre team at NVACH. The successful candidate will be working across multiple specialties within the perioperative environment to deliver safe and effective care to patients and assisting with day to day tasks that maintain the smooth running of operating lists.

Your role will include adherence to national and local policies and protocols, assisting registered practitioners and medical practitioners with delivery of care, using medical equipment (including reporting of broken items,) preparing equipment and sundries for operating lists and any other task that might be assigned to you.

Expectations

It is expected that you will complete a competency programme for HCSW’s in the perioperative environment and that when you have acquired the necessary skills and experience, you will also support learners that are new to the role.

Employment

You will be employed by South Sector NHSGGC and therefore will be working across multiple sites around Glasgow. Experience is desirable but not necessary. Training will be provided.
