Description & Requirements

Be part of something great

Maximus is a global organisation that specialises in providing health and employment services to millions of people every year. Here in the UK we employ around 5,000 people across the country to deliver services that have a profound impact on people’s lives. From assessments and health services to employability programmes and specialist support, we do work that matters with people who care.

In anticipation of Contract Award, we have possible opportunities to recruit Health Confidence Coach within the Enfield, Waltham Forest, Newham, Barking, Redbridge, Havering, Greenwich & Bromley areas to start at the beginning of October 2026. If you are interested, please apply enclosing a CV.

The Health Confidence Coach delivers personalised, non-clinical coaching and group education to help Confident Futures participants build self-efficacy, confidence, routine, participation and progression towards work.

The role supports participants to use the Work Star and Health Confidence Passport to identify barriers, strengths, goals and support needs, then delivers tailored support through the Six Well Modules: Think Well, Move Well, Sleep Well, Connect Well, Live Well and Work Well. The role is health-informed but not healthcare: coaches do not assess, diagnose, treat, provide therapy, prescribe activity or hold clinical risk.

Participant engagement and relationship building

  • Build trusted, strengths-based relationships with participants, using inclusive, trauma-informed and accessible communication.
  • Explain the Health Confidence offer, including its non-clinical boundaries, participant choice and what to expect from the pathway.
  • Support engagement, re-engagement and sustained participation using personalised contact methods and practical problem solving.

CF Needs Assessment, Passport and support planning

  • Complete or contribute to the Work Star and Health Confidence Passport as the CF Needs Assessment approach, ensuring participant voice is captured.
  • Identify strengths, aspirations, motivators, primary barriers and practical support needs without requiring diagnosis or medical disclosure.
  • Co-produce Health Confidence goals and actions within the Support Plan and update progress at agreed review points.

Delivery of Six Well Modules

  • Deliver approved one-to-one and group coaching sessions across Think Well, Move Well, Sleep Well, Connect Well, Live Well and Work Well.
  • Use evidence-informed behaviour-change and supported self-management techniques, including goal setting, action planning, problem solving, feedback and routine building.
  • Support participants to build confidence, self-belief, routine, participation and readiness for employment-related activity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
