Job Opportunity: Driver/Storekeeper

About NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership provides Clinical Logistics Transport Services across all Health Boards in Wales via its Health Courier Service, and is seeking Driver/Storekeeper staff to join this service based in the Llanfairfechan area, serving the North Wales Area (Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board).

Service Overview

On average, the service sorts (via its own mail sorting hubs), delivers and collects over 120,000 items of mail/medical notes per week, and transports in excess of 5 million movements of samples of Blood Products and Pathology in accordance with Accord Dangerous Routier, Good Manufacturing Practice & legislative requirements per year. Our core services operate between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday. However, we do operate a small range of services 24 hours a day.

Role Responsibilities

As a Health Courier Service Driver/Storekeeper you will be responsible for stock items in stores centres and also for the safe and secure transport, distribution and replenishment of NHS Pathology, Blood/Blood Products, Secure and Non-Secure Stationery, Laundry, Mail/Records and Stock items such as medical consumables (e.g. needles/syringes/containers) that are distributed to primary health care sites; (Hospitals, GP practices, pharmacies, opticians, dental surgeries) across NHS Wales.
