Role Overview
Cleaner Bentham is seeking a Health Data Analyst (Volunteer) who can help transform data into practical insights that support effective program planning and organisational learning.
Working with the Health Director, Operations Director and project teams, the volunteer will support the collection, organisation, and analysis of health and community related information generated through the organisation’s initiatives. The role will contribute to strengthening how data is used to understand impact, guide program improvements, and support reporting to partners and funders.
This position is suitable for someone who enjoys analytical work, values evidence informed decision making, and would like to apply their skills in support of a community focused organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the collection and organisation of program related health and community data generated through projects and activities.
- Analyse datasets to identify patterns, insights, and trends that can inform program planning and organisational learning.
- Assist in preparing clear data summaries, reports, and visual presentations that communicate findings to internal teams.
- Support the monitoring of program indicators and community engagement outcomes.
- Contribute to documenting the impact and reach of Cleaner Bentham’s initiatives.
- Provide data insights that can strengthen grant applications, project proposals, and reporting to partners or supporters.
- Assist in improving data management systems and strengthening internal data practices across the organisation.
- Ensure responsible and confidential handling of any sensitive information.
Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of data analysis, statistics, public health, research methods, or related fields.
- Confidence working with spreadsheets or data tools such as Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret information and communicate findings in a clear and structured way.
- Interest in community wellbeing, environmental sustainability, or social impact.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a volunteer team.
- Previous experience supporting research, program evaluation, or nonprofit initiatives is helpful but not required.

Time Commitment
- Approximately 10–20 hours per month with a flexible schedule.
- Work can be carried out remotely.
- Occasional virtual coordination with the team may be required.
