Band 8A £62,681 - £67,665
Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461

NHS Western Isles is currently inviting applications for the role of Health Intelligence Manager.
Role Overview
The Health Intelligence Manager will have significant expertise across a range of tools and techniques used to deliver health intelligence functions. These will include data extraction, data warehousing, data analysis, and data presentation. They will be adept at delivering technically excellent solutions to challenging timescales and in the presence of competing priorities. They will be comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, and explaining complex information to a variety of audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the development and delivery of the departmental workplan
- Reporting on its implementation through established governance processes
- Operating with a high level of discretion and independence
- Making effective use of departmental resources
- Being an established line manager with experience of leading, managing, and developing a team of analysts, and handling human resources matters

Location
The post is based at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway. Occasional travel to other sites will be required.

Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).

- This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Western Isles (NHSWI) is unable to provide candidates or employees with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).

- This role is not eligible for relocation expenses.
