Excellent opportunity to support the operation and delivery of Health Projects for City of Melbourne
Class 5 - $101,498 - $114,243 + 12% Superannuation
Permanent, part-time position (0.5 FTE)
About The Role
The Health Projects Coordinator sits within the Health Promotion and Policy Team in the Community Wellbeing Branch and plays a key role in developing and delivering public health initiatives that improve outcomes for Melbourne's diverse community.
The position works across a range of health promotion, policy and community wellbeing projects, building strong partnerships and supporting strategic priorities that promote healthier, more connected communities.
A Little More About The Role
- Identify, develop and deliver public health projects and programs aligned to branch and organisational priorities.
- Coordinate service agreements, contracts and project activities to ensure successful outcomes.
- Prepare reports, briefing papers, submissions and presentations to support informed decision-making.
- Conduct research, analysis and evaluation to improve program effectiveness and respond to emerging public health issues.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and undertake community engagement activities.

About You
You are an experienced project professional with a passion for public health and community wellbeing. You thrive in collaborative environments, can manage competing priorities, and have the ability to engage and influence a broad range of stakeholders.

- A confident relationship builder who can develop partnerships across government, community and health sectors.
- A strong communicator who can translate complex information into clear and engaging reports, presentations and communications.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experienced in community engagement and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Motivated by improving health and wellbeing outcomes for the community.
What Your Experience Might Look Like – Key Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health, Public Health, Health Promotion, Social Science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in public health, including developing and implementing effective communication plans and strategies.
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to research, develop and deliver projects and programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, presentations and stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders and effectively manage competing priorities.
