Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: up to £70k DOE

The Opportunity

We are working with our client, a specialist reinforced steel manufacturing business based on the Isle of Grain in Kent, who are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to support and continually improve health and safety standards across their manufacturing operation.

This is a hands-on, site-based opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, identifying risks and implementing practical solutions in a busy industrial environment.

You will play an important role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation and helping to maintain a safe working environment for employees across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical day-to-day health and safety advice and guidance to employees, supervisors and management.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending appropriate control measures.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Monitor and review actions arising from inspections, audits and risk assessments to ensure timely completion.
  • Support the development, implementation and review of health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings to promote awareness and encourage safe working practices.
  • Advise on the safe operation of machinery and equipment, the use of PPE, manual handling and other workplace hazards.
  • Maintain accurate health and safety records, reports and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams and management to address safety concerns and improve standards across the site.
  • Monitor compliance with relevant UK health and safety legislation and keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practice.
  • Encourage a proactive approach to health and safety, challenging unsafe behaviours and supporting continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
