We are seeking
Dowds are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our SHEQ Team. The role focuses on regular site presence, monitoring compliance with company standards, supporting safe systems of work, engaging directly with the workforce, and identifying issues early to prevent incidents. The Advisor plays a key role in day-to-day H&S delivery, supporting project teams to meet legal, company and Client requirements while reinforcing a positive and proactive safety culture. This role will include travel across London and Southeast.

What You'll Be Responsible For
- Conducting site health and safety inspections and audits
- Attending internal and client meetings as one of Dowds H&S representatives
- Support in rolling out Dowds Health and Safety campaigns and initiatives
- Be a key support in ISO 45001 compliance for the business
- Carry out any incident investigations that may occur
- Monitor key Health and Safety trends and identify any additional training that may be required
- Support the H&S Manager in any KPI’s and objectives with the department
- Driving a positive safety culture throughout the business, our supply chain and clients

Essential
What we are looking for
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Experience in construction & MEP environment
- Valid CSCS card
- Driving licence
- Strong communication and organisation skills
Desirable
- IOSH membership (TechIOSH / CertIOSH or working towards)
- First Aid at Work & Fire Marshal Training
- Temporary Works Awareness
- Experience in Facilities Management sector
- Understanding of ISO 45001 standards
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis training
- ISO Internal Auditor training
