Your New Company
A leading manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in driving a positive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across a busy operational environment.
Working closely with senior leadership and site management teams, you will influence best practice and help deliver robust quality, health, safety and environmental standards across the business.
Your New Role
As Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the organisation's Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems while ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Driving the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality and HSE management systems.
- Monitoring compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Advising managers and key stakeholders on HSE legislation, best practice and performance improvement initiatives.
- Planning and conducting internal audits while supporting external and customer audit activities.
- Investigating incidents, non-conformances and customer complaints, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Producing reports, safety alerts and performance metrics to support continuous improvement.
- Reviewing and maintaining HSE documentation, procedures and legal compliance registers.
- Supporting change management and continuous improvement projects across the business.
- Assisting with customer questionnaires, tender submissions and compliance documentation.
- Promoting a proactive, safety-first culture throughout the organisation.

What You'll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- NEBOSH Certificate and a minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification.
- 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing, engineering or operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental management systems.
- Experience conducting audits, investigations and compliance activities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to analyse data, identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with Q-Pulse or similar digital management systems would be advantageous but not essential.
