About The Role

Balfour Beatty are looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator to join our team at Sizewell C, one of the UK's most ambitious energy infrastructure projects, helping to shape the future of low-carbon power generation.

The HSW Coordinator will manage health, safety and wellbeing information, reporting, and performance data. The key responsibilities will include preparing monthly performance reports, coordinating weekly HSW communications, analysing campaign performance data, and collating observations and inspection outputs. The role will also provide administrative and operational support to the HSW Advisors, helping to ensure that all daily and weekly HSW deliverables are effectively managed and achieved.

The role involves supporting the company goal of “Zero Harm” by maintaining accurate and up to date information held within the department.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure that the H&S recording system is maintained and data accurate. Generate routine reports and statistical analysis and disseminate information.
  • Prepare and produce weekly HSES Incident reports, PDR packs and chasing completion of Best Practice, Lessons Learnt material.
  • Producing bulletins, Tool Box Talks and material for Weekly Safety Packs, Incident Notifications and other documentation for issue to the business, including maintaining up to date distribution lists.
  • Co-ordinate domestic and overseas travel arrangements for Power HSES team.
  • Assist in the collation of data for regular and ad-hoc reports.
  • Maintaining HSES documentation for the efficient administration of the department such as KPI metrics (Mates in Mind, MSP, Supervisor Engagement programme).
  • Super user for HSE Web portal and cover for entire UK business during system administrator’s absence.
  • Assisting with team financials, PO requests, invoices.
  • Assisting with annual award submissions.

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with experience in a similar role supporting a senior manager.
  • A strong communicator able to express clearly and succinctly ideas, plans and priorities.
  • A flexible approach to work and be a team player with a proven track record of prioritising and managing difficult workloads.
  • Diligently attends to details and pursues quality in accomplishing tasks.
  • Strong levels of literacy and numeracy.
  • Working knowledge of Excel/Word/PowerPoint.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing.

The Following Qualities/experience Are Desirable

  • Previous training and or a recognised certificate in a health and safety related discipline.
  • NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards).
