As a Health, Safety & Environment Business Partner, you’ll play a visible and influential role in a large, diverse and fast-moving organisation, working with operational teams and senior leaders to drive positive safety, environmental and wellbeing outcomes across the Group.
This is a varied, field-based role where you’ll provide practical, professional and commercially aware HSE advice across a wide range of operational environments. You’ll work closely with colleagues at all levels, providing guidance, coaching and assurance to help the business manage risk effectively, maintain compliance and continuously improve.
You’ll support the development of a positive HSE culture by engaging colleagues, influencing behaviours and helping operational teams turn legislation, policies and risk assessments into practical solutions. From carrying out site inspections and audits to investigating incidents, analysing trends and delivering training, you’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference across the Group.
But this role is about more than compliance. You’ll build trusted relationships with managers, colleagues, suppliers and external stakeholders, using your expertise and sound judgement to identify opportunities for improvement and help create safer, more sustainable working environments.
With regular travel to ZIGUP locations, you’ll enjoy a role that offers variety and exposure to different operational settings, whilst working alongside an experienced Group HSE team and senior leaders. The role offers a flexible working pattern, combining site visits, office-based activity and home working.

About You
- You have previous experience in a health, safety and environmental role, with the ability to provide practical advice and support within an operational environment.
- You hold a NEBOSH General Certificate and have at least two years’ post-qualification experience.
- You have a strong understanding of relevant HSE legislation and can translate requirements into clear, practical guidance for operational teams.
- You’re a confident communicator and relationship builder, able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- You have a sensible, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to problem solving, with the ability to balance compliance requirements with commercial and operational considerations.
- You’re comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities and delivering against agreed timescales.
- You have strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, understand root causes and recommend effective improvements.
- You have excellent attention to detail and can produce clear, professional reports, briefings and recommendations.
- You’re committed to continuous professional development and maintaining your technical knowledge.
- You have good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- You’re flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond positively to changing business needs.
- You have a full UK driving licence and are comfortable with regular travel to ZIGUP sites.

Desirable
- NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- GradIOSH status or working towards Chartered status.
- IEMA Level 3 environmental qualification or equivalent.
