Are you an experienced Health, Safety and Compliance leader looking for an opportunity that goes beyond traditional HSE management?

At Datametrics Installation Services Ltd, we're seeking a commercially minded and influential Head of Health, Safety, Compliance & Assurance to join our Senior Leadership Team and help shape the future of our growing organisation. This is a high-impact executive role with board-level visibility and the opportunity to build and lead an integrated compliance, governance and assurance function across our operations.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will act as the principal advisor to the business on:

  • Corporate Governance
  • CDM & Principal Contractor Compliance
  • ISO Management Systems
  • Information Security & ISO 27001
  • Risk Management
  • Environmental Performance
  • Audit & Assurance
  • Supply Chain Compliance
  • Training, Competence & Culture Development

You will work across the business, embedding compliance into operational delivery while helping guide strategic decision-making at Board level.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Leading the company's Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental and Information Security strategy.
  • Owning and continually improving our Integrated Management System.
  • Maintaining and enhancing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 27001.
  • Developing risk-based audit and assurance programmes.
  • Managing certification audits, client assessments and accreditation activities.
  • Driving continuous improvement and organisational learning.
  • Strengthening governance, information security and business resilience.
  • Building a positive compliance culture through leadership, engagement and accountability.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 12 months you will:

  • Modernise and enhance our Integrated Management System.
  • Strengthen governance and compliance reporting throughout the business.
  • Maintain successful certification and accreditation audits.
  • Improve visibility of organisational risks and opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, project teams and leadership.
  • Help position Datametrics for continued growth within highly regulated sectors.

About You

You'll be an accomplished Health, Safety and Compliance professional who combines technical excellence with commercial awareness and practical leadership.

Essential

  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification)
  • Chartered IOSH, or working towards Chartered status
  • Senior leadership experience within Health, Safety and Compliance
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and Principal Contractor duties
  • Experience managing ISO-certified management systems
  • Experience leading audit and assurance programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel nationally

Highly Desired

  • Defence, Government or Critical National Infrastructure experience
  • Lead Auditor qualifications
  • ISO 27001 and Information Security expertise
  • Knowledge of UK Government security requirements
  • Telecommunications, infrastructure, civil engineering or secure communications experience
  • Cyber Essentials Plus knowledge

Security Requirements

Due to the nature of our work, applicants must be capable of obtaining and maintaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance. Existing clearance is not essential, but eligibility and willingness to undergo vetting is required.
