Role Description
This full-time remote Health & Safety Consultant role owns the production and quality of our client documentation. The consultant prepares, reviews and updates RAMS, safety statements and supporting H&S documentation, ensuring alignment with Irish construction regulations and with each client's own requirements.
- Daily tasks include producing RAMS for live construction projects, including complex technical ones and those issued on main contractors' own templates, and reviewing and signing off audit reports submitted by our field consultants before they reach the client.
- This is a desk-based role with no site work or travel.
- The consultant will support clients across their duties under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
- On PSDP appointments this includes the preparation and review of the Preliminary Safety and Health Plan and the compilation of the Safety File.
- On PSCS appointments it includes the development and maintenance of the Construction Stage Safety and Health Plan, along with the documentation trail that sits behind those appointments.
- The role involves working closely with contractors to resolve documentation issues, providing practical guidance, helping clients maintain and improve accreditations such as Safe-T-Cert and ISO 45001, and contributing to stronger tender submissions.
- The consultant will also support continuous improvement of internal processes and client service delivery while working independently in a remote environment.

This role is open to candidates based in Ireland or the UK. All of our documentation work is to Irish construction regulations. UK-based applicants should have solid CDM 2015 experience, as the underlying principles transfer well, but you should be prepared to work to Irish legislation from day one and be willing to get up to speed on the differences quickly.
Qualifications
- Construction sector experience is essential, whether that comes from site, trades or a health and safety role.
- Strong knowledge of construction health and safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies and RAMS preparation.
- Proven experience writing RAMS for live construction projects rather than only reviewing them, including work to main contractors' own templates.
- Experience developing and maintaining H&S documentation, policies and procedures, with a focus on regulatory compliance and best practice.
- Working knowledge of PSDP and PSCS duties, including the Preliminary Safety & Health Plan, the Construction Stage Safety & Health Plan and the Safety File. UK-based applicants with solid CDM 2015 experience are welcome to apply, provided you're ready to work to Irish legislation and get up to speed on the differences quickly.
- Background in supporting or managing safety accreditations such as Safe-T-Cert, ISO standards, SafeContractor or CHAS, and certification audits.
- Relevant professional qualification in occupational health and safety: NEBOSH, a degree in health and safety or equivalent.
- Excellent communication, report-writing and documentation skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple client priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable working alongside AI tools as part of a modern documentation workflow.
- Familiarity with digital tools for remote collaboration, document management and reporting.
- Desirable: experience developing and implementing ISO management systems, particularly 45001, 9001 and 14001. We see real scope to bring this work in-house and would build it around the right person.

Salary and benefits
- £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience. Salary is quoted in sterling. For candidates based in the Republic of Ireland the package will be reviewed.
