Your new role

Are you passionate about construction health and safety and want to make a real difference to the delivery of safe, high-quality homes? We’re looking for a Health & Safety (Development & New Build) Advisor to join our team and provide practical, professional advice across our development and new build projects.

You’ll work closely with our Development and Abri Build teams, providing health and safety advice from the early design and concept stages through to construction. You’ll help teams understand their responsibilities under CDM, support safe design, review key project documentation and provide specialist advice on construction risks and controls.

A big part of the role will be getting out and about, carrying out site visits, audits and monitoring activities, working with contractors, designers and consultants to make sure health and safety standards are being met. You’ll also provide constructive challenge where things aren’t quite right and help teams find practical solutions to manage risk.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
