Job Overview
The Health, Safety & Employee Relations Manager is responsible for defining, implementing and continuously improving Eutelsat’s Health & Safety strategy across all operational and corporate locations, with a strong focus on France and the UK.
Expertise in French labor law and employee representative bodies (CSE/CSSCT) is essential for success in this role.
In addition to Health & Safety leadership, this position plays a key role in managing and coordinating local employee relations frameworks, ensuring compliance with local regulations and fostering constructive and effective social dialogue.
The role contributes to safeguarding employee wellbeing, reducing operational risks and strengthening engagement across technical, engineering and mission-critical environments.
What You’ll Do
Health & Safety Leadership
- Define and execute the Group Health & Safety strategy aligned with engineering, operations, teleport activities and facilities
- Develop and maintain H&S governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures
- Ensure compliance with EU, French, UK and international health & safety regulations
- Conduct risk assessments for teleports, Satellite Network Portals (SNPs), RF exposure, electrical systems, confined spaces and maintenance operations
- Lead incident reporting, root-cause analysis and corrective action plans
- Oversee safety programs and emergency preparedness across sites
- Deliver H&S training and awareness programs for employees and contractors
- Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset
- Coordinate audits and liaise with local authorities and external bodies
Employee Relations & Local Governance (France & UK)
- Coordinate and drive the animation of employee representative bodies (CSE, CSSCT and equivalent UK forums)
- Prepare consultations, presentations and required documentation for formal meetings
- Ensure full compliance with French labor law obligations and applicable UK frameworks
- Act as a key partner to HR, Legal and leadership teams on employee relations topics
- Support negotiations and sensitive employee relations matters when required
- Foster a constructive, transparent and proactive social dialogue

Cross-functional Support
- Support Facilities / General Services teams during site visits, audits and incident investigations
- Contribute to occupational health reporting and programs
What You’ll Need
- Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, HR or related field
- 5+ years of experience combining Health & Safety and Employee Relations responsibilities
- Strong expertise in French labor law, including CSE and CSSCT governance (mandatory)
- Good understanding of UK employee relations frameworks
- Solid knowledge of EU, French, UK and international H&S regulations
- Experience in audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Fluency in French and English is mandatory
- Ability to work in an international, matrix environment
- Willingness to travel across France and the UK
