Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and programs in line with organizational goals.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, analyse root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide training and resources to employees on health and safety best practices to ensure compliance and awareness.
- Monitor health and safety performance metrics, preparing reports for management and recommending improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations.
- Stay current with local, national, and international health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Serve as the primary contact for health and safety inquiries and represent the organization in regulatory discussions.
- Manage and mentor health and safety team members to align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
- Promote employee wellness initiatives to enhance overall workplace health.

Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to conduct effective risk assessments and safety audits.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
