Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor

Our client is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Advisor to play a key role in maintaining and improving health, safety and environmental standards across their operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive professional who is passionate about compliance, continuous improvement, and creating a safe working environment.

Hybrid Working

Key Responsibilities

  • The HSE Advisor will manage and maintain Health, Safety & Environmental risk assessments across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
  • Support and maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Conduct internal audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Analyse HSE data, identify trends, and produce performance reports.
  • The HSE Advisor will support facility and asset management activities to ensure ongoing compliance and suitability.
  • Assist in the administration and control of information systems, ensuring GDPR and cyber security compliance.
  • Work closely with management and operational teams to drive a positive HSE culture.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH National or International Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety (minimum requirement).
  • The HSE Advisor will need a strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Excellent understanding of UK Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and supporting management systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent industry experience preferred.

Desirable

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
  • Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience within manufacturing or engineering environments.
