We are currently seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in South East Scotland.

Working for an established contracting company, you will support the delivery of a safe and compliant construction project, working closely with site management, contractors and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
  • Support the implementation of HSE procedures and systems.
  • Review RAMS and safe systems of work.
  • Lead toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings.
  • Assist with incident and near-miss investigations.
  • Monitor compliance with UK health and safety legislation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across the project.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in an HSE/Safety Advisor role within construction, energy, industrial or infrastructure projects.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • Experience with RAMS, risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • CSCS or relevant site safety card desirable.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering the chance to work on a major energy infrastructure project.
