A Snapshot of Your Day
Join Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy as a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor and play a key role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of our offshore wind farms along the UK East Coast, based in Lowestoft.
In this role, you will work closely with our Offshore Service Operations teams, providing expert health, safety and environmental guidance while helping to foster a strong Zero Harm culture. You'll support the implementation of HSE initiatives, ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements, and contribute to creating a safer, healthier, and more sustainable working environment.
As a trusted advisor to operational teams, you will be responsible for promoting proactive risk management, supporting incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment performance.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Champion and actively promote Siemens Gamesa's Zero Harm EHS culture.
- Support local engagement and alignment with regional and global EHS strategic objectives.
- Drive the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety & Environmental management systems.
- Conduct proactive monitoring activities, identify hazards, and support the implementation of effective control measures.
- Partner with operational managers and employees to provide practical guidance on HSE legislation, company standards, and industry best practices.
- Support the reporting, investigation, and management of accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and tracked through to closure.
- Facilitate and support risk assessments and safe systems of work across operational activities.
- Deliver and support HSE inductions, training programmes, toolbox talks, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Monitor, analyse and communicate HSE performance metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate health, safety and environmental records, including training records, risk assessments, inspections, and statutory compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with HSE colleagues across the wider business to share lessons learned and implement best practices.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across sites and operational teams.
- Undertake any reasonable activities that support the achievement of business and HSE objectives.

What You Bring
- A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to driving a positive safety culture.
- NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification) is preferred, or a willingness to work towards a Level 5 or Level 6 qualification within an agreed timeframe.
- Previous HSE experience within an operational, engineering, industrial, construction, utilities, or other highly regulated environment.
- Experience providing practical and pragmatic HSE advice to operational teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to influence positive behavioural change.
- Experience investigating incidents and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, high-performing, and collaborative environment.
- Experience engaging with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders would be advantageous.
- Confidence to manage unexpected situations and provide calm, effective guidance when required.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted working relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications and digital reporting systems.
- Full UK/EU driving licence.
- Willingness to travel as required.
