We’re supporting a leading manufacturing company in Banbury who are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a busy manufacturing environment, taking responsibility for both departmental and site-wide HSE initiatives.

The role has a strong Health & Safety focus, while also supporting environmental compliance and continuous improvement across the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support Health & Safety and Environmental compliance across the site
  • Maintain and develop risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work
  • Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
  • Manage incident and near-miss reporting
  • Investigate incidents and identify corrective actions
  • Analyse H&S trends and recommend improvements
  • Carry out workplace audits and inspections
  • Support the site ergonomics programme
  • Monitor PPE compliance
  • Track outstanding HSE actions
  • Support Management of Change activities
  • Help drive improvements in site safety culture
  • Deliver Health & Safety training
  • Support continuous improvement projects
  • Assist with Emergency Response Plans and site drills

About You:

  • Strong Health & Safety experience
  • Manufacturing or engineering experience preferred
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of occupational Health & Safety management systems
  • Experience with hazard identification and risk assessments
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • ISO 45001/14001 Internal or Lead Auditor qualification advantageous
  • Environmental qualification advantageous
  • Good technical understanding of manufacturing or engineering
  • Confident delivering H&S training
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Good Microsoft Office skills
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
