We’re supporting a leading manufacturing company in Banbury who are looking for an Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a busy manufacturing environment, taking responsibility for both departmental and site-wide HSE initiatives.
The role has a strong Health & Safety focus, while also supporting environmental compliance and continuous improvement across the facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Health & Safety and Environmental compliance across the site
- Maintain and develop risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work
- Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Manage incident and near-miss reporting
- Investigate incidents and identify corrective actions
- Analyse H&S trends and recommend improvements
- Carry out workplace audits and inspections
- Support the site ergonomics programme
- Monitor PPE compliance
- Track outstanding HSE actions
- Support Management of Change activities
- Help drive improvements in site safety culture
- Deliver Health & Safety training
- Support continuous improvement projects
- Assist with Emergency Response Plans and site drills

About You:
- Strong Health & Safety experience
- Manufacturing or engineering experience preferred
- NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of occupational Health & Safety management systems
- Experience with hazard identification and risk assessments
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- ISO 45001/14001 Internal or Lead Auditor qualification advantageous
- Environmental qualification advantageous
- Good technical understanding of manufacturing or engineering
- Confident delivering H&S training
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Organised with strong attention to detail
