PURPOSE
Assisting with all inspections, recording, reviewing, monitoring, and coordination within the Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality department including further development and the maintenance of our current systems.
This role involves continual personal development to maintain professional standing, learning, and understanding of regulations and legislation.
Although there will be a lot of administration involved, the HSEQ team will need to work on this together to continually record and monitor trends, remain abreast of current legislation, find, and implement opportunities for improvement across all aspects of the company.
Description of the Role
- Supporting with the HSEQ communication and engagement strategy across various media and teams.
- Reviewing and maintaining relevant safe systems of work and current processes and procedures.
- Reviewing subcontract RAMS.
- Assisting in developing and maintaining the organisation's SSoW (method statements, risk assessments, procedures, COSHH assessments etc).
- Continually reviewing subcontract competencies.
- Being actively involved in various H&S meetings.
- Carrying out on-site CDM inspections UK wide (area specific depending on location of home). However, some further distance travelling may be required periodically in busy periods.
- Setting up online inductions with Clients.
- Reviewing and developing our current communications library (TBT, bulletins, Site Coms etc).
- Assisting in managing the HSE email inbox.
- Support with the review and management of documentation within our legal compliance system/integrated management system.
- Assisting in the completing of pre-qualification questionnaires.
- Assisting the HSEQ team in collating and recording evidence for third party audits in line with ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001 accreditations.
- Recording and investigating H&S incidents including accidents and near misses including witness interview notes, recording, and analysing root causes together with the HS&E wider team.
- Raising non-conformance and behavioural issues in a timely manner.
- Helping to develop and implement the company health and wellbeing programme and raising marketing briefings.
- Liaising with Clients and Subcontractors for receipt, reviewing and recording of mandatory documents.
- Assisting H&S coordinator in the requirement identification of PPE.
- Assisting in the annual completion of accreditation qualification questionnaires and evidence collating on various portals. (CHAS, Achilles BC, SafeContractor etc).
