Job Description
Reporting to Global Real Estate, GR/FCM-GB, this role is an integral position responsible for driving and managing operational Health & Safety and location security compliance within the management of the group’s real estate assets in the UK and Ireland.
As a Senior Leadership Team Member in the Global Real Estate team, the Health and Safety Governance Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, leadership, and overall performance. This role provides critical oversight and direction for both operational health and safety and location security for both external providers and the internal GR/FCM-GB management team, ensuring alignment with the company’s business objectives, operational efficiency, and a safe, productive, and sustainable workplace environment. This leader will be a visionary, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the UK and Ireland portfolio while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
The successful candidate will be sponsored to complete the required qualifications and a comprehensive development plan will be implemented to support the integration and familiarisation into Health & Safety and Security Compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities
In compliance with the Internal Regulations, safety and environmental instructions, standards, and legislation:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies in accordance with legal and corporate guidelines.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and developing preventative strategies.
- Organizing safety training for employees to ensure awareness and understanding of safety and environmental practices and legislation.
- Monitoring compliance with policies, performing site inspections, and preparing detailed reports on findings. (8D)
- Conducting investigations after incidents to establish causes and preventive measures.
- Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g., fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, occupational diseases, HSE 74 & MHSAWA 1999.SSOWP.
- Maintaining current knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements related to health, safety, and environmental matters that impact the organisation.
- Assist to integrate protective Risk & Fire Prevention measures with GR/FCM-GB
- Implement cost saving measures where required especially relating to training requirements.
- Support all UK locations in respect of internal and external audits.
- Head of implementing UK strategy for Site operational security at UK and Ireland locations aligned with the UK Real estate leadership team.
- Applying internal requirements and procedures in terms of Compliance, Quality, Safety, Energy, Environment and Data Protection (GDPR).
- Formation of a UK wide network of HSE Partners to operate at site level.
- Support when required in times of immediate emergencies.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Competences:
- Experience in the field of safety basics within a blue-chip environment.
- Excellent knowledge in aspects of RRFA 2010, MHSAWA 1999, DA 2010, PUWER Regs, LOLER 98, Asbestos 2012 Regs. Not limited to.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and safety technologies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Min Level 5 Qualification in HSE or equivalent.
- Able to demonstrate a broad legal knowledge pertaining to HSE.
- Qualification in Leadership & Management.
- Experience in the field of environmental protection
- Good knowledge of the regulations on polluted sites and soils

Office location, Robert Bosch Ltd, North Orbital Road, Denham, UB9 5HJ. This role requires frequent travel to other locations across the UK and Ireland
Full time 37.5 hours
This position has been initially evaluated as a band 10 with scope to become an SL1
