Join us as a Health and Safety Manager

Pipelife Ireland is a division of wienerberger UK & Ireland. Pipelife is Ireland’s leading manufacturer of plastic piping systems, drawing on over 50 years of experience developing innovative products for the domestic, industrial and agricultural sectors.

About the role

As a Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for leading and coordinating our health and safety activities, helping teams maintain high standards and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

You will support continuous improvement, strengthen safe working practices, and contribute to operational excellence across our site in Little Island, Cork.

Duties include:

  • Implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with legal requirements.
  • Support the roll-out of initiatives that raise awareness of health and safety best practice.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving the Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
  • Work with internal teams to ensure accurate document control and record keeping.
  • Monitor and track incidents, analyse trends and suggest improvements.
  • Coordinate health and safety training programmes, inductions and refresher training.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify hazards and implement preventative measures.
  • Support the development and maintenance of risk assessments and safe operating procedures.
  • Prepare routine health and safety reports and metrics for management.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness across the organisation.

Working hours: Mon to Thu: 07:30 to 16:00, Fri: 07:30 to 15:00

About you

Essential

  • Strong experience in a health and safety role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Recognised Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH, Level 7 Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and auditing processes.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience delivering health and safety training programmes.
