HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION

Wembley

Salary

Up to £70,000 depending on experience

Our client is currently looking to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team, with the successful candidate being available to start as soon as possible. They are specifically seeking someone with a strong background in groundworks, reinforced concrete frames and civil engineering, who understands the pace and challenges of their industry and can quickly integrate into their business.

Following the company induction and familiarisation with the management systems, they would expect the successful candidate to be undertaking independent site safety inspections, engaging with site management teams and providing practical health and safety support within a very short period.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Significant experience in a Health & Safety Manager or Senior Health & Safety Advisor role within the groundworks, RC frame, or civil engineering sector.
  • A sound understanding of the hazards associated with excavation works, temporary works, lifting operations, buried services, plant operations, reinforced concrete frame construction, drainage, deep excavations, and demolition interfaces.
  • Experience of carrying out detailed site safety inspections, audits, behavioural observations, and accident/incident investigations.
  • The confidence to challenge poor standards whilst building positive relationships with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and Supervisors.
  • A practical, solutions focused approach to improving standards rather than simply policing compliance.
  • Excellent knowledge of CDM 2015, the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, and associated construction legislation.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and influencing skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel across our projects throughout London and the Home Counties.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
