Health & Safety Manager (Generalist)
6-Month Contract
Reading/Home

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager (Generalist) to join a leading organisation on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive Health & Safety professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong stakeholder relationships, and driving a positive health and safety culture across a varied operational and construction landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting Health & Safety initiatives across the business.
  • Providing expert Health & Safety advice and guidance to managers and project teams.
  • Delivering Health & Safety projects from planning through to implementation.
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practice.
  • Supporting compliance with Health & Safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Conducting site visits, audits, and risk assessments where required.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving positive behavioral change.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety remains at the forefront of operational decision-making.

  • Strong Health & Safety experience with excellent practical knowledge.
  • Construction industry experience (essential).
  • A proven track record of delivering Health & Safety projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to quickly establish credibility and influence managers at all levels.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to hit the ground running.
  • Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
