The Role

We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager (Property) to manage all aspects of health, safety and fire (HS&F) legislation and regulations for buildings within the Property commercial portfolio across Manchester, East Midlands and Stansted Airports. You’ll develop, review and maintain HS&F management systems ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, regulations and MAG Group HS&F standards and frameworks that relate to the Property building portfolio. You’ll ensure regular HS&F inspections are in place and carry out HS&F risk assessments, fire evacuation drills and manage the legionella risk assessments, asbestos re-inspections for the relevant properties and prepare action plans to mitigate risks to support safe and compliant premises. Working closely with the Head of FM (Property) you’ll review and comment on MAG Group HS&F policy, procedures and governance frameworks, conduct GAP analysis and submit findings and recommendations. You’ll also represent Property at both internal and external HS&F audits.

What will make you successful in this role?

You’ll have a highly developed knowledge of health, safety and fire regulations and legislation, management systems and processes, ideally gained in a real estate / corporate environment. Chartered membership of a professional body (IOSH for example) as well as Member grade of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers. You’ll also have at least Intermediate Level Fire Risk Assessor (NFRAR), or similar competency level on other equivalent schemes.
