Health & Safety Manager | Retail Distribution Centre | UK High Street Retailer
I’m currently working with a major UK organisation who are looking to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of H&S across their operation in Dunstable.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to take real ownership of H&S across a large-scale distribution operation, working with site leadership to strengthen standards, improve safety culture and make a visible impact.
The Role
- Lead the site H&S agenda, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
- Act as the key H&S business partner to the management team, providing advice and challenge where required.
- Lead H&S and MHE training, including coaching managers and employees.
- Manage risk assessments, audits, inspections and corrective actions across the site.
- Lead accident investigations, H&S reporting and the site fire risk assessment programme.

About You
- Level 6 Occupational Health & Safety qualification, or working towards one.
- Experience delivering H&S training and/or Train the Trainer programmes.
- Experience within distribution, FMCG, logistics or a multi-site environment.
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, risk management and best practice.
- Confident communicator with the ability to coach, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
