Are you an experienced Health and Safety professional looking for an opportunity to make a real difference?
At Mencap, our ambition is for every person we support to receive the highest quality, person-centred support. We are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our Governance and Quality Directorate and lead our Health and Safety function across a national organisation.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding and Compliance, you will:
- Provide expert advice
- Oversee Health and Safety systems and processes
- Support operational teams to manage risk effectively
- Lead a team of Health and Safety Advisors
You will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong Health and Safety knowledge
- Experience of managing risk and assurance processes in a complex organisation
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A passion for improving the lives of people with a learning disability
