Safety Officer
WEPA UK
Your responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and continual improvement of the site's ISO45001 Health and Safety Management System.
- Support with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with relevant UK health and safety legislation and company standards.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
- Support risk assessments, safe systems of work, and permit-to-work processes.
- Analyse safety performance data and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Participate in emergency preparedness activities and drills.
- Work collaboratively with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture.
- Assist with contractor management and site safety compliance activities.

Your profile:
- Personality: Team player, strong influencing skills, self-motivated, flexible approach to work
- Working method: Team-orientated, methodical, solution-orientated, ability to work independently
- Experiences and know-how: Professional safety experience, knowledge of ISO 45001 desirable, IRCA qualified auditor desirable
- Qualification: NEBOSH General certificate essential
- Languages: Fluent in English
