Whether in building construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, or specialist services, we deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that create lasting value for our clients and communities.

As part of our growth, we are establishing a dedicated Power Division, supporting the delivery of major transmission and distribution projects across the UK. We are looking for experienced professionals who want to play a key role in building the team, developing our systems and helping deliver some of the UK’s most important energy infrastructure projects.

About The Role

You will work closely with project managers, site teams, engineers, subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure that safe systems of work are established, maintained and continuously improved throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to join the team at an exciting stage of its development, helping to establish a strong safety culture and ensuring our projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with all relevant legislation, client requirements and industry standards.

  • Take ownership of HSW input into the planning and delivery of works, ensuring risks are identified, assessed, and effectively controlled
  • Oversee the development, review, and implementation of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW), including RAMS, ensuring they are suitable, sufficient, and consistently applied
  • Drive the reduction of risk through effective planning, design influence, and implementation of robust control measures
  • Lead and ensure implementation of site monitoring activities including inspections, audits, and assurance, ensuring clear reporting and timely close-out of actions
  • Establish and oversee assurance programmes, supporting delivery teams in effective implementation
  • Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis is robust and that corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented
  • Oversee the development of HSW communications including toolbox talks, briefings, campaigns, and investigation reports
  • Ensure effective management and governance of HSW data, driving accurate and timely reporting of performance metrics and qualitative feedback
  • Analyse data trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement, informing strategic decision-making
  • Engage with workforce, supervision, and leadership teams to promote a positive HSW culture and visible leadership.
  • Challenge unsafe behaviours and support a just and learning culture across the project
  • Lead and support the delivery of HSW briefings including occupational health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, influencing and driving high standards of performance
  • Collaborate across the HSW function and wider organisation to share learning and embed best practice
  • Escalate significant HSW risks and issues to senior management, providing clear recommendations and solutions
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HSW systems, procedures, and standards across the business
  • Ensure the competence and development and support of the HSW team, including mentoring and coaching of advisors

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
