Health & Social Care Trainer – Kent
Regional Role – Medway, Swale, Tonbridge & Malling, Canterbury and Thanet
Salary: £35,710 per annum
At Avante Care & Support, we are a registered charity providing care and support to over 1,000 older people across our care homes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Health & Social Care Trainer to join our internal Learning and Development team, supporting our Avante care homes across Kent.
Where Will You Be Supporting?
This is a regional role and requires regular travel across our portfolio of care homes throughout Kent.
Our Kent Services Cover a Wide Geographical Area, Including
- Medway – Chatham
- Swale – Sittingbourne
- Tonbridge & Malling – Tonbridge, Snodland and West Malling
- Canterbury / East Kent – Canterbury and Bridge
- Thanet / East Kent – Westgate-on-Sea
You will therefore need to be comfortable travelling between different Avante services as required.
Our current Kent care home locations include Amherst Court in Chatham, Court Regis in Sittingbourne, Barnes Lodge in Tonbridge, Pilgrims View in Snodland, Malling Grange in West Malling, Bridge Haven and Chaucer House in the Canterbury area, and Wain House in Westgate-on-Sea.

The Role
As our Health & Social Care Trainer, you will play an important role in supporting and developing our care teams across Kent.
You’ll inspire, empower and support colleagues, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to deliver exceptional care while contributing to a positive and engaging learning culture across Avante.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging and impactful training sessions.
- Equip our teams with essential skills for high-quality care.
- Be a key player in shaping our learning culture.
What You’ll Need
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Need
- Current driving licence (essential)
- Relevant care qualification and/or a background in health and social care (essential)
- Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
- Formal training qualification, i.e., CIPD, CTTLS, AET (essential)
- Relevant Moving and Assisting training qualification with associated CPD evidence (essential)
- First Aid at Work certificate (3 day)
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficient in use of virtual classroom tools, i.e., Zoom, Teams, break out rooms, virtual whiteboards, etc.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Methodical problem-solving approach
- Flexible and adaptive
