Adult Education | Level 1 & Level 2 Regulated Health & Social Care Qualifications
Skills-UK is looking for an experienced and confident Health & Social Care Tutor/Assessor to join our growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with strong Health & Social Care occupational experience who also holds a recognised teaching qualification and has experience teaching and assessing adult learners.
You will deliver regulated Level 1 and Level 2 Health & Social Care qualifications to adults aged 19+, alongside sector-specific and refresher training. You will also assess learner work and portfolios, provide constructive feedback and support learners to successfully achieve their qualifications and progress within the sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging face-to-face Health & Social Care training to adult learners aged 19+
- Deliver regulated Level 1 and Level 2 Health & Social Care qualifications
- Assess learner work and portfolios against qualification requirements
- Provide clear, timely and constructive feedback to learners
- Support learners to make progress and successfully achieve their qualifications
- Maintain accurate learner, assessment and progress records
- Adapt teaching and support to meet different learner starting points and needs
- Develop and update learning resources in line with sector and awarding body requirements
- Deliver sector-specific and refresher training where required
- Support both unemployed learners entering the sector and employed learners developing their skills
- Contribute to standardisation, quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Health & Social Care practice and sector requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment

Essential Requirements
Please only apply if you meet the following essential requirements:
- A relevant Health & Social Care qualification
- Strong occupational experience within the Health & Social Care sector
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as AET/PTLLS, CertEd, PGCE or equivalent
- Experience teaching or training adult learners
- Experience assessing learner work and/or portfolios
- Strong written communication and record-keeping skills
- Ability to motivate and support learners from a range of backgrounds
- Full Driving License and willingness to travel to face-to-face delivery locations across South Yorkshire
Desirable
- Assessor qualification such as CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent
- Experience delivering regulated Level 1 and Level 2 Health & Social Care qualifications
- Experience working within adult education, employability or funded skills provision
- Experience of awarding body requirements, standardisation and quality assurance
