Coventry Health Visiting Service are seeking a clerical assistant to join our amazing Family, Health and Lifestyle Service.
This post would provide the post holder with valuable experience in working within a community health setting.
Primary Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities are a range of administrative and clerical duties as delegated by the Senior Clinic Assistants and Health Visitors.
Commitment to Safeguarding and Recruitment Practices
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of individuals and expects all staff to share this commitment. As part of our safe recruitment practice, it is a mandatory requirement for all newly appointed staff requiring a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to be registered with the DBS Update Service. All eligible staff recruited to the Trust are expected to maintain their annual update subscription whilst employed with the Trust as a condition of employment. The cost of the first year’s subscription to the update service will be reimbursed by the Trust as a payroll refund.

Travel Requirements
It is essential that applicants can meet the travel requirements of the post.
Duties of the Health Visitor Clerical Assistant (HVCA)
The Health Visitor Clerical Assistant (HVCA) will ensure that tasks delegated by the team are completed in a professional manner. Tasks will include:
- Taking telephone calls
- Liaising with parents/cares and professionals on behalf of the Health Visitor
- Achieving timely and effective communication for the team with the use of e-mails, filing, processing incoming post and preparation of post
