Healthcare Advisory Solicitor – London – Up to £100,000

A leading UK law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Healthcare Advisory Solicitor to join its specialist team in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident healthcare lawyer to work on a broad range of complex and sensitive matters, advising organisations across the health and social care sector.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced lawyers on challenging and high-profile matters, while also supporting junior colleagues and developing strong client relationships. The role offers excellent opportunities to broaden your expertise across healthcare advisory, public law, mental health and regulatory matters.

The Role:

  • Advise healthcare and public sector clients across a broad range of advisory matters
  • Manage matters involving inquests, Court of Protection, judicial review and mental health law
  • Advise on mental capacity, deprivation of liberty and related welfare issues
  • Provide advice on public law, governance, commissioning responsibilities, funding and treatment decisions
  • Support clients with patient safety investigations and healthcare regulatory matters
  • Advise on confidentiality, data protection and freedom of information issues
  • Provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice on complex matters
  • Undertake advocacy where appropriate and contribute to hearings and formal proceedings
  • Supervise, support and develop junior lawyers within the team
  • Build strong relationships with senior client contacts and provide a high standard of client service
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider healthcare practice
  • Contribute to business development, client training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
  • Take an active role in developing your own practice and supporting the continued growth of the team

About You:

  • A Qualified Solicitor, Solicitor Advocate or Barrister with strong healthcare advisory experience
  • Experience advising on healthcare, public law, regulatory or related matters
  • Strong advocacy experience, or a genuine interest in developing your advocacy skills
  • Experience dealing with complex and sensitive matters
  • Confident advising senior clients and communicating complex legal issues clearly
  • Experience supervising or supporting junior lawyers
  • Strong analytical, drafting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Self-motivated, commercially aware and able to work with a high degree of autonomy
  • Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • A genuine interest in developing a career within specialist healthcare law
