Priory Kneesworth House Hospital has an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team across all wards.
Priory Hospital Kneesworth House, Royston, Hertfordshire is a level 2 rehabilitation service providing a range of specialist recovery pathways for adults within a purpose-built facility. It is accessible by public transport, with Royston railway station approximately 2–3 miles from the service and limited local bus links. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

As a key member of the ward team, you will support Registered Nurses in delivering safe, compassionate and high-quality patient care in line with individual care plans. You will provide practical and personal care, monitor and report patients’ wellbeing, and support delegated interventions such as observation, patient engagement, escorted leave and de-escalation. Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming ward environment, build positive relationships with patients, relatives and colleagues, and contribute to the smooth and effective running of the service.

What you'll bring to the role
Essential for the role
- Educated to a minimum NVQ 1 or GCSE’s in Mathematics and English.
- Understands the need for strict confidentiality
