This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Healthcare Assistant who enjoys providing compassionate care, working in a clinical setting, and being part of a collaborative team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient experiences.

How You'll Help Us Make Health Happen

As a Healthcare Assistant, you'll provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to our dermatology service, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care throughout their treatment journey.

You will:

  • Support patients before, during and after dermatology consultations and procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, equipment and sterile instruments.
  • Assist clinicians with minor surgical procedures, biopsies, laser treatments and wound care.
  • Apply dressings and provide post-procedure care under clinical direction.
  • Take and manage clinical photographs where required.
  • Maintain patient dignity, comfort and confidentiality at all times.
  • Accurately maintain patient records and clinical documentation.
  • Support clinic operations through appointment coordination, stock management and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, health and safety and clinical governance standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Completed Care Certificate.
  • Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant within a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and electronic patient record systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A professional, calm and compassionate approach to patient care.

Desirable

  • Experience working in dermatology, outpatient or private healthcare settings.
  • Experience assisting with minor surgical or aesthetic procedures.
  • Dermatology-specific training.
  • Safeguarding, Basic Life Support and Infection Prevention & Control training.
