Healthcare Assistant – Outpatient and Pre OP Assessment Unit

Hereford Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Part Time

£12.84 per hour

As a Healthcare Assistant in the Outpatient and Pre Op Assessment Team at our Hereford Hospital, you’ll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference. To be considered you MUST have an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.

As a Healthcare Assistant in Pre Assess / Outpatients, you will:

  • Assist colleagues in various Specialities including Orthopedics, Gynaecology, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT, Cardiology, Psychiatry and Urology.
  • Enjoy more time to care for patients as individuals.
  • Manage a wide range of activities and changing priorities.
  • Make sure the day-to-day operations of our various clinics run smoothly.
  • Assist consultants and Registered Nurses with procedures, such as dressings and wound care.
  • Carry out pre-assessment questionnaires, both face-to-face and over the phone.
