Job Vacancy: Health Care Assistant
Location: Bromley Park Care Centre, 75 Bromley Road, Beckenham, Kent, BR3 5PA
Contracted hours: Mixed Days & Nights – 44 hours per week (4 shifts per week over a 7 day rota including every other weekend)
Hourly rate of pay: £13.00 per hour
We are currently on the lookout for a positive and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Health Care Assistant. This important job role requires someone who is deeply passionate about caring for the elderly. They also need to have a genuine drive to manage a Care Team responsible for those using our services, including our residents, their families and visitors. You will have the opportunity to excel whilst:
- Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
- Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
- Assisting with mealtimes
- Ensuring residents’ independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
- Helping to maintain accurate records
- Undertaking regular ongoing training
- Developing relationships with our residents and their relatives in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care

You will bring to the team:
- Dedication and commitment to making a difference to others’ lives
- Experience of working with people, in particular those that may have additional support needs e.g. people living with dementia
- An empathetic nature and a strong ability to communicate effectively
- Leadership and organisational skills (if applicable)
- Good IT skills (Outlook, Word) and ability to use authorised handheld devices (smartphones) to record your activity/care events (as applicable)
- Excellent team-work ability
