A Healthcare Assistant (Band 3) supports patients in the Outpatient setting, delivering basic patient care and maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. The role involves supporting patients within the department at Hollinswood House, Community Diagnostic Centre, Stafford Park, Telford.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role involve supporting patients within the Outpatient setting. You will be required to:
- Take their height and weight
- Chaperone the patient during physical examinations conducted by the clinical nurse specialist and consultants
- Assist nursing staff with both clinical and administrative tasks, while working under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Help maintain a safe and clean Outpatient environment by preparing equipment, managing stock, and following infection prevention procedures
- Provide administrative support, including assisting with admissions and discharges, and handling basic enquiries
